Hi experts,
I did a research on ShopOrderCosts and crossed the FACT_SHOP_ORDER_MATERIAL_OL Definition.
In it the field ActualComponentCosts is delivered by a SubSelect.
It states:
 CAST ( NVL((SELECT SUM(NVL(quantity - qty_reversed,0) * Inventory_Transaction_Cost_API.Get_Sum_Unit_Cost(mh.transaction_id, ''TRUE'', ''TRUE'')) FROM INVENTORY_TRANSACTION_HIST_TAB ith, MATERIAL_HISTORY_TAB mh WHERE mh.transaction_id = ith.transaction_id AND material_history_action = ''ISSUE'' AND mh.order_type = ''SHOP ORDER'' AND mh.order_ref1 = ma.order_no AND mh.order_ref2 = ma.release_no AND mh.order_ref3 = ma.sequence_no AND mh.order_ref4 = ma.line_item_no GROUP BY mh.order_ref1, mh.order_ref2, mh.order_ref3, mh.order_ref4) ,0) AS NUMBER)

Now I did a research in the IFS mask Inventory Transaction Hist.
I searched for TRANSACTION_IDs where the QTY_REVERSED <> 0.
When I look into the VIEW Definition of INVENTORY_TRANSACTION_HIST2 (System Info)
the field QTY_REVERSED is defined.
But I cannot find a seperate field in the IFS mask for QTY_REVERSED.

When I look into the debug-console I see:

,IFSAPP.Inventory_Transaction_Cost_API.Get_Sum_Unit_Cost(transaction_id,'TRUE','TRUE') *QUANTITY
but not the quantity - qty_reversed from the FACT IAL.

In the mask I will see costs even when QUANTITY - QTY_REVERSED equals 0.

I’m a little bit confused about that and really appreciate any tips, help or clarification.

Thanks a lot
BR
Michael

Hi @Michael Kaiser,

What you're seeing is expected. The screen and the fact calculate this in two different ways.

*When you unissue shop order material, the original issue transaction isn't changed or deleted. IFS creates a new reversal transaction (UNISS) for the unissued qty.
*On the original issue transaction, QTY_REVERSED is updated to show how much of that issue was reversed later.
*Inventory Transaction History shows each transaction separately, so you get cost x QUANTITY for each row. A fully reversed issue still shows its full cost, and the UNISS row shows the reversal separately.
*The fact only reads ISSUE rows and uses quantity - qty_reversed, so it gets the net cost directly without looking at the UNISS rows. If it also added the UNISS rows, the reversal would be counted twice.

So when QUANTITY - QTY_REVERSED = 0, the material was issued and then fully unissued. The net component cost on that line is 0, and that's what the fact gives you.

About QTY_REVERSED not showing in the screen: it's in the view but not on the page by default. Check the column chooser for a hidden column. If it's not there, query INVENTORY_TRANSACTION_HIST2 directly.

To confirm with your own data, take one of those transaction IDs, filter the screen on the same shop order and part, and you should find the matching UNISS row for the reversed qty.
