Please can someone tell me what the difference between these 2 options are? What does it do differently from a finance perspective?

On the example the users provided to me, they dont have the option to ‘cancel preliminary invoice’ as its greyed out but they can ‘remove credit/corr. invoice’.

Therefore i wanted to know the difference, and added to that, when would the option to cancel be active?

Thank you

Stacy

Hi @SPierpoint,

As you are in a debit invoice, the ‘Cancel Preliminary Invoice’ will be enabled when the invoice itself (Debit invoice in this case) is in Preliminary status, to be able to cancel/remove it from the system.

On the other side, when you have created a credit invoice from a debit invoice, with the use of ‘Create Credit Invoice’ menu, then meanwhile this credit invoice is in Preliminary status, you can remove such credit invoice from the Debit invoice with the option ‘Remove Credit/Corr. Invoice’

I hope this is clear. If not, please let me know.

Regards,

Pilar
