Is there information missing in the release notes? do we need more basic data to get this working properly?
We run 25R1.7 - and unfortunately, our testing has not been successfully

We’ve seen similar behavior. Even though the feature says it calculates the tax exchange rate when missing in XML, IFS still requires a valid currency rate setup in the system (based on tax date/invoice date).
If no rate exists for the relevant date or currency type, the calculation won’t trigger. I’d start by checking currency rate setup and date alignment rather than expecting it to work purely from XML.
