Hi,

<BrnchId> tag is appearing inside <FinInstnId> section under <DbtrAgt> in the ISO20022 output file generated by IFS 10.

But, most of the banks like Zenith Bank in Nigeria, Citi Bank in Panama, Bank of America in Mexico are requesting to have <BrnchId> outside the <FinInstnId> section but under the <DbtrAgt> tag.

Can anyone let me know, why IFS has included <BrnchId> tag inside <FinInstnId> section.

Hi @EnvSandeB ,

Bug ID 160128 has addressed a similar issue. Below I have mentioned relevant details for your reference.

Background:

Currently in the ISO20022 payment initiation, the Branch ID tag is inserted inside the Financial institution identification tag. Branch ID <BrnchId> tag which is available in the Creditor Agent CdtrAgt tag, needs to be inserted after Financial Institutions identification tag.

Solution:

Branch identification of the creditor agent, needs to be inserted in the creditor agent tag, after inserting the financials institution identification tag. Branch id should not be inserted inside the financials institution identification tag.

If this addresses your issue, you may raise a case with IFS to check the possibility of getting this bug.

Hope this would be helpful.

Best Regards

Sugandi

When logging a support case to receive the fix -- please reference solution 291452 to make sure you receive all needed bug ID’s regarding this issue.   The <BrnchId> was moved outside the <FinInstnId> for the <CdtrAcct> via Bug ID 160128 but the  <BrnchId> being moved outside the <FinInstnId>  for the <DbtrAgt>  seems to still be an issue.

The <DbtrAgt> side was submitted to R&D on solution 291452 (Test plan #3)
