Application Message not created when using EDI

Hi,

Following are the steps I used in sending invoices via EDI

1.Create Customer Invoice

2.Post ànd Send Invoice. Selecting EDI as the media code

3.I see the invoice in Connectivity Outbox but does not appear in application messages

4. Then I used INET TRANS and I see the message appears under application messages → but it Failed 

ExecutionException from Sender thread 
Caused by: ifs.fnd.connect.senders.ConnectSender$TemporaryFailureException: Error during file sending 
Caused by: java.net.ConnectException: Operation timed out (Connection timed out)
