I have a customer requirement to define a posting control based on work type to map the revenue posting generated in sales invoice. As the work type is not a control type which is defined in the standard list of control types available in posting controls related to sales invoice postings, is it possible to define this control type for the standard list of values via a development?
Any ideas on such feasibility?
In general - if you want to customize IFS solution, I think it is manageable.
In practice, it might became complex to identify work type from sales invoice line data - as you should consider all possible billing cases.

As a suggestion, to map revenue postings in sales invoices for work types, consider using a code part in the define code string and the 'pre posting' functionality. Then you will be able to filter the sales revenue by work type.
