Are you able to change the Valid until date for period 1(Jan), if you have had transactions and postings already.?

Once transactions are in a period you can’t change date range is my experience.   I recently tested this in 24R1.  Finance wanted to change the December year end time frame. In order to change a date range , I had to delete all periods/years that were set up after that period first and essentially set up the accounting year / periods again (including Fixed Assets periods) therefore was not a quick task and can’t be done if transactions are already posted in the period.

Hi @Kaye.white,

Agreed with @Rcoubrou No, in IFS Cloud the “Valid Until” date of an accounting period cannot be changed once transactions or postings exist in that period. This is by design to maintain accounting integrity and ensure audit compliance.
