Hi All,

 

Situation:

  • I have an existing Serial Object in Inventory
  • I have a customer order to sell the Serial Object with a Customer Warranty line (warranty came from a Customer Warranty Template
  • The Serial Object is Delivered

Question:

  • Should the warranty from the Customer Order Line not be connected to the Customer Warranty of the Serial Object?

This does not happen at this point. So the Serial Object is sold with Customer Warranty on the CO line, but this does not appear on the Serial Object Customer Warranty.

From the IFs help I get this:

So does that mean the Customer Warranty is only copied from CO Line to Serial Object when the Object is created at Delivery? That does not make too much sense to me. The Serial Object could have been created before (demo machines for example), and sold later on but still have a warranty.

 

Anyone have any feedback on this?

Trying to get back to some of my open topics. Does anybody have any idea why the warranty of the customer order line is not copied to the Serial Object at Delivery?
