Set-up information for map view on ADDRESS screen in FSM Web & Smart client

Hi Richard,

you will need to setup a Bing Maps API key in the app params first. However, Bing Maps, which is used for e.g. the Map visualization on the ADDRESS screen, has stopped working for free accounts after June 2025, and it will remain available only for existing Enterprise customers until June 2028. Further, it’s not possible to enroll a new Enterprise key. The product team is currently looking into enabling Azure Maps in FSM. You can find more details also in this thread:

Hi Roman.

Ok thanks.  So am I correct that the BING key we had been previously using was under the IFS account?  Even though support for this was ended a couple of years ago, shouldn’t it still be supported by Microsoft until 2028 as you mention above?  I had heard there was something in development for Azure but the app params have a parameter for GOOGLE_MAP_PROVIDER_KEY.  We do use Google map api’s in other applications.  Would this be supported for the FSM ADDRESS screen?

Hi Richard,

please check with your IFS Account Manager, if the BING Maps API key was purchased through us. If the API key is part of a enterprise entitlement, then my understanding is that it should be still working.

Unfortunately, Google Maps API key can only be used for fetching geocodes. See also this thread:
