A. What is your idea?

1) Classification
Choose ONE: keep the applicable option and delete the rest.

  • Opportunity for improvement

2) Brief description
What happened, what is missing, or what could be better? Focus on the problem or opportunity (not the solution).

Service Requests and Request Quotations are unavailable for Prospects, limiting both quotation development and advance service planning. As a result, the only practical workaround is to create the Prospect as a Customer before any commitment to purchase has been made.

This forces sales and administrative teams to complete customer onboarding activities prematurely, including credit applications, tax liability reviews, and other required documentation. These additional steps not only slow the sales process and create unnecessary administrative overhead, but can ultimately prove wasteful when a Prospect never converts to a Customer or purchases the proposed service. Most prospect customers will not go through this effort just for a quotation.  Enabling Service Requests and Request Quotations for Prospects would streamline the sales cycle, improve responsiveness, and reduce non-value-added administrative effort.

B. Context and scope

1) Who is affected?
Choose ONE or MORE: keep the applicable options and delete the rest.

  • Internal users
  • Customers

2) Frequency
Choose ONE: keep the applicable option and delete the rest.

C. Value and impact

1) What is the business outcome?
Choose ONE or MORE: keep the applicable options and delete the rest.

  • Improves productivity or efficiency
  • Reduces cost or manual effort
  • Enhances user experience

2) Impact scale

3) Workaround
If there is a workaround, describe it briefly. Otherwise write “No workaround”.

Workaround is to create the Customer prematurely, which essentially is ‘no workaround’ because this is unrealistic
