Service Contract - Change expiry date error due to PM

Hello,

We are trying to extend the Expiry Date of a service contract which is already expired.
When trying to update the date, we get an error message saying: “Validity peirod of the serivce Line cannot be shorten as there are generated work orders on later dates of the PM line/lines”.

We are not trying to short the date, but to extend it. Also we have finished all the work orders linked to the PM actions but still getting the error.

 

Has anyone seen this error before and know how to fix it?

Thanks for sharing this @martijn.vanbalkom. In our case we have open WOs and would like to extend the contract. The current work around provided by IFS is as follows. We have not yet tested it but will post it here in case it helps your case.

“updating the fields Planned Start and Planned Finish on the work task to a blank value if they are beyond the current expiration date on the service contract heade”
