If I have an activity in PSO that has been marked as incomplete, and I do allow multiple visits, is there a way for PSO to create an allocation automatically for the follow-up visit?

Hi,

The ‘incomplete’ status indicates that the activity could not been completed successfully by the resource. Often this will need a new visit will need to be scheduled, but usually with some different requirements, such as skills or parts. There may also be different SLA requirements and/or availabilities. As such the new visit would be expected to be created in the external system and sent through o PSO as a new activity.

For splittable activities, we also support a status of ‘visit complete’ for a visit. This indicates that the visit to the activity is completed, but the resource is expecting to return (usually the next day) to continue the work. In this case the DSE would automatically schedule a ‘Follow Up’ visit. There is more information about splittable activities in the ‘Scheduling Concepts - Split Activities’ guide, and about activity statuses in the ‘Scheduling Concepts - Status Changes’ guide.

Thanks,

Paul
