Prevent location being created in IFS Cloud from Request

Hello Expert 

I need your advice on the following scenario:

Scenario:
We have an integration between SAP C4C and IFS Cloud(24R2). Currently, when a request is created in SAP C4C and transferred to IFS Cloud, the system automatically generates a new location with a Location ID and associates it with the customer in IFS Cloud. We are trying to prevent the automatic creation of this location in IFS cloud during Request creation. 


Could you please provide guidance on how to prevent the automatic creation of locations in IFS Cloud during this process? Do you see any impact in preventing the creation of location in IFS Cloud.

There is no standard option available to stop Location creation when the record is being created through an Integration, and it is not advisable as well, since it may disturb the whole inter-ERP communication that the Integration performs.

Please check why Integration is creating a Location in the first place. What requirement was shared with the developer during Integration development?

Please check whether the system allows for deleting the new Location records manually. If so, then a migration job can be scheduled to delete Locations created through Integration.

Echoing Abdul. Why do you not want to create a location? Does it already exist or do you not want one at all (without a location there would be no map position, hence no scheduling).
