If in the part Master we check the checkbox “part to Product” as yes, my assumption has always been that it will directly convert to a product when the part is added as a part usage.
For some reason it doesnt seem to be work in my environment.
Is there anything else which need to be setup (business rule or change in metadata or change in part master) to get this working?
Current in 6.13 version.

If you have “Part to product” check box checked, it would create a product record when you create a part usage with line code includes installation. Also it is creating a product record, when you create a part usage with return reason including installation (RMAs). Hope this may help.
