Current situation for a customer from us:
- they’ve manufactured a Part Serial that is composed of other Part Serials in a structure
- They do not create Serial Objects
- At a certain point a subcomponent Part Serial is taken back into stock (through a Work Order) because it was broken and replaced by another
- The broken part get’s repaired
- Now they would like to use the part again in a different structure
Unfortunately they now get an error:
So because the Part Serial is part of a structure (due to the initial manufacturing), we can’t issue the part. Unfortunately we also cannot disconnect is from it’s parent structure because this is no longer an option in the menu.
What is the correct way to solve this issue?
