In the MWO when we try to fill Misc. allocation we get error that “object reference not set to an instance of an object “ . What can be done to fix this ?

Tried it using 23.1.4 and the latest MWO, didn’t get any error. The misc. allocation is also correctly synced back.
we are using 23.7.917.0 of MWO and facing this issue

Same version here. What happens if you do the same in the web client, ideally same user?
we are able to fill in web but in MWO its coming blank. No category is shown.

Can you navigate to Security Grants by Permission Set and check if your user has the security group MiscResourceAlloc?
Below error is coming after providing security group also , MiscResourceAlloc
