Hi,

Could I understand the impact of updating the FSM DB Timezone from customer timezone to UTC.

How the old data can be restricted if it all possible.

Jithesh

Hi @JitheshP ,

My understanding is that all dates in the FSM database are held as the international standard and then the application uses the server or client timezone information (depending on the information to display) to convert the format.

If you were to change the timezone on the server itself than this would mean any future dates written to the database would reflect the new timezone. The old data would stay as they were so it would need to be remembered that there was a change to account for the hours shift. This should only be a few hours difference though depending on the two timezones so the further back the data goes the less relevant this would be.

Not sure what is meant by restricting the old data. Old data can be archived if that is what is meant.

Kind regards,

Lee Pinchbeck

Hi Lee,

I meant how the old data time would be impacted with the timezone change. If there will be no change to the time that will be good and expected.
