is it possible to change the FSM Metadata for task_text “Is Required” checkbox to un-checked because Ive tried in Studio and cant make that edit. Is there somewhere else I need to go to uncheck that box?

You could create a custom metadata for task_text and uncheck “is required” checkbox from there. Then it will override FSM Metadata. Hope this may help.
Thank you for your answer @Kalpani. why would such a convoluted method be necessary? it is a checkbox, after all, and for it to be “normally” unusable seems absurd.
FSM Metadata is intentionally Read Only because it controls the baseline behavior of the software. Each time the FSM software is updated, the FSM Metadata is overwritten. So even if you were able to edit it, an upgrade to the latest release would overwrite your edit. The purpose of the Custom Metadata is to allow you to override the baseline behavior and not be affected when you upgrade to the latest release.
