How are other customers archiving FSM tables. Customer is currently reaching 12M task events. He wants to archive off anything 2 years and older. What are best practices from other customers for archiving FSM tables?

 Hi @Whitney

You can archive data on FSM tables (attachment, contract, invoice, part_tranlog, purchase_order etc.) that are older than the archive date unless they are referenced by another active record. If you do not specify any date, records older than 5 years are archived. If you are not using the data in active records it is good to archive those records by specifying a date. If the table that you are trying to archive is not available in the Archiving Engine, you may go to custom metadata > add/select the table > active archive check box. Hope this may help.

Hi Kalpani,
Thanks for this. It absolutely works.

One question can we add extra conditions for which the data will be archived?

Hi @CalvinAM

It is good to know that it worked. According to the standard functionality, you can only specify the date and the table to be archived.  Thank you.

@Kalpani Dissanayake Does the archiving process happen automatically? Or do we need create a schedule process for this and add the MPM that does the archiving?

@jevin.fernando

It is a one time process that we have to do manually. If you like you could try creating a schedule process. Thank you
