Hi all!

We are having problems when it comes to installing FSM on our server:

When we are already on this screen:

Start installing and give us an error. It manages to install the DB successfully, but gives an error when creating the views, even in the installStatus logs.log says the following:
...completed.  Creating views for FSM 6...
Error occurred: Incorrect syntax near 'Microsoft'.
 Msg 102, Level 15, State 1, Procedure , Line 1. (check installStatus.log or FSM6_CreateViews.log for more info).

But that other log you mention is blank.

Does anyone know what could be happening?

Thanks!

Hi @ConAdriaR ,

What is the version of FSM that you’re trying to install here? This is most likely an issue with the database scripts in the installer. Could you please make sure whether you have completed all the prerequisites in the setup environment according to the installation guide and also try this with another setup installer with the up-to-date setup files including db scripts etc.

Hi Saranga!

We are trying to install FSM 6 UPD 9, we just got an updated installation files from IFS after a first try with different ones but still get the same error. We are following the installation process instead of entering manually the scripts, shall it still work?

We also believe we have followed previous steps, cant understand what is going wrong!

@Isuranga Ediriweera  could you please help @ConAdriaR with regards to this issue? We had encountered similar kind of an issue in UPD9 and there was a patch update released by R&D in the patch.sql script to resolve this issue. You might need to update your installation package path ‘DatabaseData\SQLServer\PatchScripts’ with corrected patch.sql file.

Dear @ConAdriaR

Good day to you!

As @Saranga Amaraweera mention there was a known issue with upgrade/installation in FSM6U9.

Here I have shared the FSM6UPD9 patch.sql file which has this fix.
Can you please unzip the zip file and get the patch.sql, then you can navigate to FSM6U9 installation package and paste this patch.sql script under "DatabaseData\SQLServer\PatchScripts".
After that you can re-run the upgrade/Installation and check this.

Kind Regards,
Isuranga

Hi @Isuranga Ediriweera thanks for your reply!

Unfortunately we still get the same error, please find attached the logs.

Hi @Isuranga Ediriweera! were you able to check the previous logs? Otherwise how could we move this case further? thanks!

Hi @Isuranga Ediriweera ! were you able to have a look into this?

Thanks! :)
