Field not saving in webclient, but saving in smart client

Hi Experts,

We added the field asset_id under the products tab of request. This asset_id field belongs to the product entity.
 


When we edit this field on the smart client and save, the value gets saved and is reflected on the product screen.
 


If we try to do the same on the web client, this value doesn’t get saved. Clicking the save button does nothing. When we try to move away from that request we are asked “Do you want to save the changes?”. Upon clicking yes the screen reloads and whatever the change we made for the asset_id field is gone (i.e field not saved). 

Is this a bug?
