If we have a task that is allocated to a resource, they have not clicked on any statuses, if the resource wishes to move that task to the following day, i just want to confirm that the drag drop function applies to this scenario. Can we simply drag the task to the following day in console if it is the same resource without restrictions?
You should be able to drag to any resource and any date/time. There are a few checks, so you may get a warning when for example datetime windows are violated.

For Dispatch Console you have this parameter, which defines how many days into the future DC displays the Gantt chart.
