I’m wondering if there is a way to have approved Absence/PTO requests appear in the Dispatch Console? Currently, managers have to create Misc Resource Allocations so that it appears in the DC and the technician doesn't get scheduled during that approved Absence. Not sure if this is native functionality or if configuration is needed?

I just registered a vacation absence and it was immediately shown in Dispatch Console. If it doesn’t happen in your system, have a look at the parameters on the Absence Type.

Thanks Alexander, It doesn't seem that any parameters are defined under “Absence Parameter Type”. I’ll try to define some of these in our test environment to see if I can get this to resolve the issue.

Here’s an example of an Absence Type that did work for me:

I Checked the Absence type and Absence Parameter Type basic data setup. I entered and approved an Absence Request, but I’m not seeing any change to the Dispatch Console.

I know we have defined a specific “Service” Calendar in the Application Base Setup, and have the resource structure utilizing this. We also have the  “Use HR Schedule” turned off on the Resource Details. Could this be preventing it from showing in the DC?

Hello @Bertrand Dousset, Went through and followed the setup instructions from pages 93 to 98. Still no results populating in our Dispatch Console after generating schedules and capacities. I did see at the end of page 98 though that it mentioned “Absences are pushed to PSO immediately, i.e., they do not require a full load“. I would hope that would only be in terms of its immediate appearance and not the functionality of seeing the absence, but could confirm that this isn't a PSO only function?

Thanks
