Alert | parallel tasks

Dear all,

we are searching for a possibility to alert an user, when a parallel task is assigned to a person / resource.

Of course via the app param ALLOW_PARALLEL_TASKS = Y we can block parallel tasks completely but that’s not the behavior needed. The user should only be informed about it and then can either confirm or reject.

Is there a baseline possibility to reach that behavior? Any experience of / with other FSM customers on how to resolve that requirement?

Thanks for your inputs and regards,
Thomas

Hi @Thomas Widmoser

According to the FSM Mobile Alert | IFS Community post, it is possible.

The push notifications introduced in FSM6u5 would facilitate this but it requires an Azure config to setup.

Details on the setup requirements can be found in FSM6u5 release notes on page 3.

Hope this helps.

Hi @Charana Udugama,

thanks for your answer! But I was referring to an alert on the smart / web client. Meaning as soon as a Back office user / planner schedules a task, he / she should get a pop up with the information that a another task is already scheduled for that time period.

I was thinking of solving that via a custom view or a client script but first wanted to check if there is any baseline functionality which simply be activated (as the app param).

regards,
Thomas
