There is a customer who had already migrated documents into IFS Cloud File Storage using "Cloud File Storage Migration Tool".

After  upgrade database and import it into IFS Cloud Use Place, will the previously migrated documents be retained in File Storage?

IFS Documentation (https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/24r1/030_administration/210_cloud_file_storage/fsmigtool/#configure_the_target_environment_with_all_file_extensions) states the following steps as part of document migration process:

Overall process of migrating files

  • Analyze data in the source database or Shared and FTP repository folders
  • Decide what to migrate and not
  • Migrate the data (what this tool does)
  • Delete migrated data from the source database (example scripts provided)
  • Export meta data from fss_file_tab (documented here).
  • Move database to IFS managed cloud and upgrade to IFS Cloud
  • Import exported meta data into fss_file_tab.
  • Make sure fs_mig_status_tab is there in the target environment database, with the most recent data from the source database.
  • Update all file references (documents and media, scripts provided) by using the provided POST scripts, or using data migration

Is it correct that the Documents themselves will stay in File Storage, and what they simply needs to re-import the FSS_FILE_TAB after the DB has been upgraded?

According to the Overall process of migrating files, files should remain in FSS without any doubt. But someone kindly confirm?

Yes. Upgrading/replacing the database will not affect the files in Azure Blob Storage. But the FssFile entity need to know what file exists in the storage.
