Hello

We are discussing about implementing Export Control in IFS 10.9 that we are using right now. Did a few tests with regards to PO and CO. Can anyone advise how does Export Control work with

  1. RMA (a test plan world be ideal - is it similar to CO? Denied Parties have to be excluded?)
  2. DocMan
  3. before releasing a PO / CO, authorization by the Procurement / Sales Manager is mandatory in our business. In that case, do you think checking for Import / Export License can also be done during the authorization? (IFS Core functionality is checking for license at the release of PO / CO)

Thank You.

Cheers,

Enzo

Additional questions:

  1. When a Forwarder is in the denied parties list, in which step of the CO / Shipment does the notification popup?
  2. Is there a validation for dual use?
  3. The help text under dual use is confusing. Is it for dual purpose (e.g. military + high tech) or dual part (top part + bottom part)?

The demo video for export control doesn’t cover these, hence the questions.

Thanks,

Enzo

Yes, RMA process also very similar to Customer Order, yes Denied Parties will be validated if you defined them;

You have to make sure required basic data has been set in to identify that sales parts since Site level as an Export Controlled for RMA

At Export Control Basic Data enabled system parameter enable for RMA

Similarly Export Control Basic Data\Authorization can control Document Management

No, there is no luxury given at PO Authorization level for for Export Control, if you feel that is as a valid business case you can raise that to IFS
