Hello,

Is there a transformation method available to copy attachments on a Work Task to the Equipment Object for that Work Task (Service Management, IFS Cloud 25R1).

You can copy attachments from Equipment Object to the Work Task using Object Connection Transformations but not the other way around.

Thank you!

Hi Kushan,

We operate in a highly regulated environment. Many of our serial objects require certificates of completion and compliance at regular intervals.

Work orders are generated for the serial object at the required interval. Our technicians work primarily at the work task level so it is most efficient for them to attach any documentation they create or receive in the course of executing the work task, to the work task itself.

However, we do need a way to easily see all documentation related to a serial object. If these are forgotten or missed, they can create audit issues.

If the technicians attach those documents on to a work task for a serial object, we need to be able to see those on the serial object without having to search through each work task individually to find out if they have been attached, and which work task they are on so we can view the specific document. As the number of work tasks per serial object grows over time, searching will become more difficult.

In essence, the solution being considered is that serial object will become the central business object for documents for all work tasks executed against that serial object.

I’m also open to other solutions.
