No drag and drop option in ‘New Document Revision’

Hi All,

When we creating a new revision of an existing document, if we uncheck the "Keep file" option, there is no drag and drop option enabled in ‘New Document Revision’.

Why this functionality is not added to the ‘New Document Revision’ ? If anyone needs to add a document it should be done through Document Revision window. This causes a time loss.

Best Regards,

Roshan

Hi Roshan,

This is more like an enhancement request rather than a defect. In previous versions also this functionality was not there in IEE either, to allow selecting a new file, when copy file is unchecked.  Better to post an idea for this.

Copying @Mathias Dahl  to share info in case if there is a plan to introduce such functionality.

Thanks,

Dilini

Please post a community idea. Those will definitely be discussed very frequent intervals and make plans to act upon.

In the 23 years I have worked with this solution, not a single customer has asked for this, so clearly it's not something that people think is very important. That's why it's not there. That said, it would not be bad to add it, so thanks for the idea. We had almost this in IEE if you dropped a file on the Document Revision form.

Can you explain more about the time loss? Creating new revisions should not be something users do very often. Having to do a few more clicks when it happens doesn't strike me as very time consuming. Perhaps you can tell us a bit about the use case here?
