Greetings, IFS community!

Documents are saved in the database and not on an external FTP server.

Will it be possible to search for a document using words that are contained within the document as parameters?

I am capable of searching and creating simple queries and quick reports in DOCMAN that utilize custom fields and fields from the tables.  However, I am trying to conduct a search within the attached document for keywords.

Would this be possible?

Could you please provide me with some instructions on how to accomplish this if it is possible?

We are using IFS 10

Thank you.

Hi @ZTC ZTC JGOTA,

Please try using the Application Search functionality and use the Document Management related Search Domains. Particularly the Document Content Search Domain.

Hope this helps!

Hi @ZTC ZTC JGOTA

If you are using IEE, then there is a functionality for what you just described called Application Search. Look for the documentation on how to set up this. In order to search within documents, you need to set up the application search domain called DocumentContent.
