Inconsistency in Template Visibility When Creating Documents via Attachments Hi all,

Hi All,

I noticed when running tests that there is a discrepancy in IFS Cloud when it comes to creating a new Document from a Document File Template.

According to IFS Cloud Documentation, anyone who wants to use a template requires view access to the Document Revision acting as the Template.

This holds true for the page New Document from Template, where I can only see the templates that I have access to.

 

However, it is not true when I try to initiate the same action via Attachments - New Document from Template on any business object, like a Document Folder or Work Task.

In these cases, I have the full range of templates visible and can move on to naming the Document. However, when I try to finalize, I finally get the error message.

This is very confusing and will likely impact how well the module is received by new users attempting this.

Is there anything that can be done so that creating from a template through attachments hides unavailable templates just like the New Document from Template page?

 

Appreciate any guidance on this, and open to further discussion if needed.
