That is for App10 EE, but should be applicable for IFS Cloud as well.

Yes, both should work in IFS Cloud or any Aurena client version as well. One of the option (keeping the URL in a field) requires the Aurena Agent to run macros. The other option (attaching a .url file) should work okay also without the Aurena Agent.

thanks for your answer. I tried the 2nd solution with IFS Cloud 22R1,

seems  for a a.url]  type file, there is NO “view” button dispalied

(for a real pdf file, there is “view” button)

Correct, and there probably never will be, because this use case is kind of unusual. You need to use the command to download the file instead.

It should be possible in one click with the correct setup. See the post linked to earlier.
