I haven't heard of any such plans. In fact, and probably since I don't have an iPhone, I have never heard about this file type before. Searching the internet about it now, it seems there are no web browser that has native support for it so it makes it harder to implement support for it. Someone said you could display them with some custom JavaScript code, but I didn't look into it.

If it's important, why not create an idea here on IFS Community, about adding support (don't forget to explain why)? In the meantime, I recommend you to have your technicians configure their phones to output JPEG images.

Another option for you is to have some tool extracting these files at regular intervals, converting them and uploading the converted file, replacing the old one.

The HEIC files could easily be stored as documents in IFS with new lines for the file extension in basic data, but the images is not displayed as expected in integrated systems.

Exactly, IFS Cloud can handle it, and so can Windows (I just tried). If an integrated system cannot, there's not much we can do in IFS Cloud to solve that.
