One of our Customer would like to implement an interface with Docusign. Seems that we have some available API like CDocusignSignerEntity. Is this standard and if yes, do we have some use case and example ?

Before we had the Esign functionality that was added in IFS Cloud 23R1 IFS built an internal integration to DocuSign. You can contact our IT department to learn more.

Why not use our Esign functionality though? It used Adobe Acrobat Sign, but apart from that it's probably very similar.

Hi Mathias,

Customer is still in 23R2 and on Prem. It seems that esign is only available for IFS Cloud Services Customers ? Also Customer is complaining about the security level.

For the MRO module there was additional improvements in 24R1 : “The proposed solution integrates the IFS Digital Signature framework into the MRO system. These token-based signatures, using a Yubikey, automatically populate with the user's details, ensuring security and preventing mis-authentication.” Does Yubekey introduce a new security level in DOCMAN for MRO or is this a new feature that could be used in future IFS Releases ?

That’s correct! We want to change that but platform limitations stops us.

> Also Customer is complaining about the security level.

Perhaps it's not the Esign solution they want then. They want our older support for Digital Signatures, which is quite different (it’s the other thing you quoted there).

I suspect neither a Yes or No to that will make you wiser because you are talking about things that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with each other.

What I can say is that there is nothing in Docman that uses Yubikey and our Esign solution also doesn't support it. But you would need to know what's meant by our Esign solution to understand how that answer affects you. For that I encourage you to review our release material on the subject (and we also produced a nice demo that has been shared earlier here on IFS Community.)

Thank Mathis for your Support.

So e-sign is the 23R2 new feature integration with Adobe, but the limitation is that it works only with IFS Cloud Services for now.

And Digital Signature is another feature available also for On Prem customers, with an improvement provided for the MRO module including a new security level with Yubekey.

Correct ?

Something like that, yes. Although both solutions uses digital and cryptographic strong signatures the solutions are quite different and have different purposes.

@Mathias Dahl ,

 Our customer has requested confirmation on whether the E-sign functionality, which we have mentioned is only operational for customers using IFS Cloud Services, could also be available for those hosted on Microsoft Azure.

Could you please confirm if there is any possibility that E-sign could work for a customer hosted on Microsoft Azure? Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

@Dominique Husson

Our Esign functionality is only available for customers using Cloud deployment. That is, they are hosted in IFS's managed cloud offering.

We are currently starting the design of a solution that allows us to make this available also for Remote deployment. We don't do any promises at this point but we hope to have this available in IFS Cloud 25R2.

Clear?

Hi @Mathias Dahl , Thank you for all the details. Like ORTEC isn’t on Managed Cloud, is there a solution to link a DOCMAN document to DOCUSIGN  / UNIVERSIGN tools ?

@BUSSI_C

Sorry, no. You would need to develop such an integration on your own.
