Hi All,

Do we have a method to add documents from any screen to a document locator structure in IFS?

Although, apart from document structure navigator, do we have overview screen similar to document locator?

Thanks & Best Regards,

Nipun

@NipunGunaratne93  to connect a document to a document structure you can either connect it from the document structure navigator or in the Document Revision\Consists of tab (connect child document). if it is a parent document, connect from Document Revision\Where used tab. But in document revision you can only see the immediate parent or child document connection only.

ok apart from that behaviour there is no other out of box solution to create a document locater type structure?

@NipunGunaratne93 can you elaborate on what is a document locator structure? Is this a feature you have seen in other ERP systems?

Hi Matt,

There is a requirement to attach document and save documents while creating a document structure.

Eg. If you attach a document to a work task on a workorder. IFS doesn’t automatically create the document locator structure. We only can find the document and check the references for the WO and work tasks not other way round on document revision.

If there is screen or method to go and find the document structure same as WO>WT>Document is what I’m looking for.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Nipun
