In IFS Cloud,

We want to use a DMS and not store the documents in the IFS data base.
We have large documents like .STEP, .IGEST, .DXF, ....
We want to share documents in a secure way with external contacts.

Is there a tool integrated in IFS that can do the job or should we use a tool external to IFS? If the tool is external which tool can you advise us.

Hi @lmassant

for Germany there are two integrated interfaces in IFS Apps 10: EASY and D3.

For your country you can find it out in IFS connect. Which DMS do you use?

If not you need to order IFS to develop a interface for your DMS.

Hello, thank you for your feedback

Our version of IFS is IFS Cloud 22R2.

Currently, we are not using DMS yet.

The DMS integrated to IFS does not correspond to our needs because it does not allow to store files in a Sharepoint but mainly in the IFS database.

We are looking for a DMS external to IFS that can meet our file storage needs in Sharepoint and allow us to share certain files with external parties.

Would you know of a DMS that meets our needs?

Hi @lmassant

interesting idea. Unfortunately I don’t know such DMS.

But maybe the company trovarit can support you: https://www.trovarit.com/en/

Are you using Cloud or Remote deployment?

In Remote deployment, you can keep (some of, according to your own choosing) the document files outside the database and in a location that you control and which you can share with the external parties in some way.
