Hi,

Will the Copilot integrated in IFS Cloud be able to search text within the content of the documents that are stored in Document Management?

That's a very good question, and I agree directly. Because full-text search in documents is required in every customer project and there is always a great misunderstanding that this is not (or no longer) possible.

It's something we are looking into, in one form or another (don't assume what it will be).

I hope we can share more information when 24R2 is released 🙂

That sounds good, thanks Mathias 😊

Thanks Mathias, then we hope for the best 🙏🏻

Hi @Mathias Dahl, is there any new information on current and planned realisations? 🤗

Hi @Mathias Dahl, is there any new information on current and planned realisations? 🤗

We released something related, in 24R2. It's now possible to "chat with your documents", on a small scale, once you updated them to the customer-specific data lake. You can read about it in the documentation:

https://docs.ifs.com/ifsclouddocs/24r2/SearchForAndUseDocument/ActivityUploadDocumentsToDataLake.htm?StandAlone=true

This was released as part of the work we did with FMECA, which is why we made it limited. We might make the limit higher or implement some other solution for a more global "document content search" in a coming release.

Also check out the news presentation for Asset Management in 24R2, about IFS.ai Copilot for FMECA section (slide 55). The presentation can be downloaded from here:
