Aurena document URL too long for Sharepoint

Not without changing how those URLs are created. If we would replace “Param” with “P”, we would save 4 characters per parameter, but I think that would not be enough. Also, it would break all links that customers have already created. The best thing is if you make a customization for this, that works for you.

By the way, whatever “MS intranet” is doing there is not future proof. Links are getting longer and longer and 250 is a very strange limitation, when the browsers supports thousands or even millions of characters.

In which part of the “MS intranet” exactly is this limit? 
This problem may have a solution on the “MS intranet” side rather than on the Aurena side.

Thank you for the replies, I retst my case :) I agree that this limitation is in SharePoint, and if overall, URLs do not have limitation on character then this is not an IFS problem. I will look at some of the workarounds I have found on SharePoint forums.
