Hi All

We are finding that searches for customers and contacts are taking between 1-2 minutes to return the results.

Examples:

  • ‘Customers - Sales Specific Information’ screen
  • Search on ‘Post/Zip Code’
  • Results take 1-2 minutes to return
     
  • ‘Account Contacts’ screen
  • Search for part of a contact name
  • Results take 1-2 minutes to return
     
  • ‘Customer Order’ screen
  • Click on ‘Customer’ drop down
  • Click ‘Find’
  • In the slide-out screen, search for full or partial Post/Zip code
  • Results take 1-2 minutes to return

These times are not acceptable in general but additionally not acceptable when you have a customer on the phone waiting 1-2 minutes before you can even find their account.

 

What can we do to improve the speed? Are others facing the same?

Search the community for index related adjustments, there is likely something with the way your database was constructed that has a problem in the indexing of those tables.  It probably isn’t version or platform specific, but rather is something problematic in your installation or the way in which it was implemented that has an underlying issue.
