Good morning, can someone provide me with an explanation regarding the logic behind the operation of the page for Sales Part Cross Reference? Why, after saving a record on this page, am I unable to edit the field Customer's Part No? Is there any logical justification for why it is locked for editing?

 

For now I can only delete the record and add a new one...

I was also not allowed to edit ‘Customer’s Part No’ or ‘Sales Part No’ after I ran the same flow in the standard reference environment.

I am not quite sure about the exact reason for the restriction to edit ‘Customer’s Part No’ field. But I suspect that it is because the system establishes the connection at the time of inserting the record and any future change is not allowed for ‘Sales Part No’ and ‘Customer’s Part No’.
