Has anyone been asked by a customer that they want to use a WaDaCo transaction that allows them to manually reserve parts to be shipped to the customer order rather than use the automatic reservation oir manually reserve the customer order line.

Thoughts???  We are drafting a CRIM spec to do this.

Hi,

R&D are currently looking into adding something like this for Handling Units (25R2, no commitment as this is still under investigation). It will not only be reserve, it will be like a reserve and pick. In WaDaCo you decide the customer order line and can then scan the handling unit you want to pick and reserve.

The requirement comes from industries that has handling unit with a varying quantity on the handling units and where you don't want to break the handling unit e.g. coils, wood packages. Basically the Sales Qty corresponds to multiple of the average quantity on the handling units, then this number of multiples of handling units are reserved and picked with the new process. The final quantity is decided by the sum of the actual quantity on the picked handling units.

We have not thought of introducing anything similar for part as per now.

Is this the same that you are asking for?

Best Regards

Fredrik

Part would be preferred as not every part goes into a handling unit

The priority for now is to start with handling units, however we believe that this is also relevant for parts down the line. Thanks for confirming this.
