Hi @SNBSHAN,
In IFS, an Active status on the Supplier Agreement header only confirms that the agreement itself is valid, not that all underlying part lines are usable. Once a supplier agreement part line is set to Closed, it becomes historical and is permanently read-only. Closed lines are excluded from pricing updates, recalculations, and sourcing logic, and they cannot be reopened, updated, or reused even if the agreement header remains active.
Because of this design, the recommended and best-practice workaround is to create a new agreement line for the same part rather than attempting to reuse the closed one(I don’t think you can proceed without creating a new line). The new line should have a new “Valid From” date, while the closed line is kept unchanged for historical and audit purposes, making sure there is no overlap in validity periods. This approach is safe because IFS sourcing and pricing logic automatically selects the line that is both active and valid for the given date, while closed lines are ignored by the system. As a result, data integrity, reporting accuracy, and audit history are all preserved without creating functional conflicts or pricing issues.
