Default location not populating on Register Arrivals

Could you please search for the part, site in “Inventory part default locations” page and check whether there is a default location set for the location type “Arrival”?

If the Receive Case on the PO line is set to ‘Receive into Arrival’, you should configure one of your ‘Arrival’ type inventory locations for these items so the system can automatically fetch the default location.

If the Receive Case is set to ‘Receive into Inventory’, then a ‘Picking’ type inventory location should be configured for the items to fetch the default location automatically.

Please also note that the system does not allow more than one default location of the same Location Type.

Thanks for your responses. I went back to our warehouse coordinator, and he advised that all the location types in our system are set to picking. They have no issues with most parts, it seems to be a select few - which makes this harder to pinpoint what specifically is causing some to work and others not to default in that field.

As you mentioned, all of your location types are set to “Picking”, but the Receive Case of the following arrival is “Receive into Arrival” means you have set the “Receive into Arrival” as the default receive case in supplier for purchase part record.

Please change the Receive Case to “Receive into Inventory” and that will populate the default location automatically on register arrivals.
