IFS Cloud 24R2;

The scenario is such that there is a Business Opportunity for an Account and this is driven by a Consulting firm, I wish to add this Consulting firm as a Contact on the Business Opportunity.

I have created a new Business Opportunity using the following steps :

1.Using the New Business Opportunity wizard

2.Added Mandatory Description , selected and Account and Currency

3.Viewed the Business Opportunity

4.In the Contacts section, I have added a new contact

5.Selected an Account whose Category is β€˜Other’

6.Selected a Contact for that Account

7.Application prompt - Do you want to add this account into related accounts - selected yes

8.Contact line and Related Accounts line is populated correctly.

Problem :

When I go into the Account Contact screen for the additional contact I added, the Business Oppotunity section does not show the Business Opportunity to which this Contact was added.

In addition, when I press the Connect Command Button and attempt to link the Business Opportunity, there is no possibility to link this Business Opportunity.

My expectation was that the Account Contact screen would have the Business Opportunity section populated.

Am I correct with this expectation ?

Or am I missing a setting to allow this connection between the Business Opportunity and Account Contact ?

Hi @AntonioInfoConsulting,

Currently, only opportunities where the contact belongs to the header account are shown in the business opportunities list. Additionally, if an account is added as a related account, the opportunity will not be shown as a reference in the accounts page. We know that this is a limitation and are planning to address it in a coming release.

The Connect command can only be used to add contacts to opportunities where the account is listed as a header account (not as a related account). This is intentional. To add "other contacts" to an opportunity, the action must be performed directly within the opportunity itself.
