It now and then happens that there is a quality issue with a specific lot batch number. IFS can put an availability control on specific stock. But because of regulations in our industry (medical) this is not sufficient. The requirement is quite straightforward: some sort of master switch entirely blocking the use of this specific l/b nr. The fear is that using only the availability control would leave holes, like when stock is returned using an RMA after the available stock was already blocked. It could then become free stock if it slipped attention.

I don't believe this is possible out of the box (25R1 SU10), but I also believe there will be more customers in medical, food, or aviation with a similar requirement. How is this usually handled?

Hi @arjenheijboer,

You have a valid business scenario, and you are correct as well that there is no OOTB functionality to block issuance from a specific lot batch at global level if business users missed to apply availability control id on any Inventory Stock line.

I will suggest you submit an idea with IFS R&D.

Meanwhile, you can give a try to Workflow configuration to prevent material issuance from any Lot Batch if any stock line is with a availability control id.
