We have a non-inventory sales part on a customer order line.  When we change the quantity on that line, the system is automatically showing it Reserved and Picked, ready for delivery.  We don’t want it to do that.  Is there a way to prevent the auto-reservation and picking of non-inventory parts?

@TosohLBlum ,

Changing the quantity on the order line that triggers the line to be automatically reserved and ready to be delivered sounds like a bug in the system.

When I tried the same thing in the latest IFS Core environments, i could not observe the same behavior.

Thus, it is better that you create a case for IFS support to correct the issue you face.

Hi @TosohLBlum,

Was your order having a passed wanted/due date?

Even when you create a new customer order with a passed Wanted Delivery date, the total non-inventory quantity in your new customer order line would automatically be set as to be delivered, by reserving them.

If your customer order’s  wanted/due is in the future, you will be able to change the non-inventory sales part’s quantity, without affecting the ‘Non-inventory Qty to deliver’. To set them as to be delivered, you would have to use a reservation job or process the whole order.

(you can use the ‘Undo reservation and picking’ option from the ‘Deliver Customer Order Lines with Differences’ to remove to be delivered qty. This is for non-shipment orders)

Hope this helps,

Asanka

Hi @AsankaGaru ,

Despite the wanted delivery date of the order having passed, it asks me to reserve when I link it to the shipment for non stock sales parts."

How can this be?
