Hi all,

Our IFS Application en Database servers are running on Windows 2012R2. We are currently in the process of updating those servers to Windows Server 2019. Before we proceed, we would like to hear from anyone who has experience with performing in-place upgrades to either Windows Server 2016 or 2019.

Our team is considering the in-place upgrade route as it offers the advantage of retaining existing settings, configurations, and applications. However, we are aware that this process can be complex and potentially risky, so we are seeking insights and advice from those who have gone through this upgrade journey before.

If you have successfully completed an in-place upgrade from IFS servers running 2012R2 to either Windows Server 2016 or 2019, we would greatly appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Thank you in advance!

Did you ever get an answer on this?  I have the same question.  Did you proceed with an in-place windows upgrade?

Same here.

Did you get an answer or did you find another way to upgrade the OS?
