A customer of has asked whether we can enhance some information displayed in the shop order work-guidelines by including information from a source reference manual.
Currently not all operations are contained within a shop order routing or the work-guidelines, however technicians can access these via a Customer RMB into the 3rd party tool as the manuals are not stored in IFS but rather a central repository.
The question is therefore is it possible via either Data Migration or IFS connect to fetch source data from an external system and then to insert it directly into the relevant container in IFS Apps10.
The reference needed to be passed between IFS and the source is currently contained on the SO Order Operation as a column.
It is understood that the source is not currently available as xml but rather as structured PDF!.
