Dear community,

We are experiencing an issue with the Excel Add-in on a limited number of computers.

The following error message appears when users attempt to connect:

"IFS.Fndmig.ExcelAddIn has not been configured to run in the selected language. Please use a different language to log in."

Has anyone encountered this issue and identified the root cause or a workaround?

Thank you for your support.

Hi @Carole

Which language are you using when this error occurs? Have you already tried logging in using English?

Has it worked before, and if so, what may have changed? For example, a new Windows version, a new Excel version, or something similar?

/Jens

Hi @Carole

I found some very old language files and documentation related to this topic that describe how language files can be imported into the Excel Add-In. I'm not 100% sure whether this applies to Apps 8 or Apps 9, but you can give it a try if you'd like. There is no guarantee that it will work, though.

Hi @Jens

Most users are using the English language version. For the few users who are experiencing the issue, we tried connecting to the database through the Excel Add-in in both French and English, but the error message appears in both cases.

These users had never used the Excel Add-in before, and both their Windows and Excel versions are the same as those of the other users who are not encountering the issue.

We are going to try importing the language files you shared. Thank you for your suggestion, it is greatly appreciated 😊

I will keep you informed of the results.
