We are currently in the process of upgrading from IFS 8.0 to IFS Cloud.
In the 8.0 application, we have a modification that allows you to load files directly from excel (xls) to data migration. According to the latest information in IFS Cloud it is impossible.
I have a lot of migration tasks which create tables (procedure: Create_table_from_file). Have you some idea how to fulfill this tables using xls files? I don't like csv files.

There isn’t anything in core that will do what you want. The ability to upload data straight from XLS to the db has not been made available in Cloud. Your mod didn’t get taken on even though it does sound useful. What does the Apps8 Mod do? Does it hide the conversion to a CSV from and XLS for the user and then just use the standard Create_table_from _file procedure? Perhaps you could uplift that function to the cloud by using the Workflow functionality to automate the steps
