There are different types of the file template available. You should know the structure of your file you want to import.

I have updated Output field but still it is showing me file direction as Input file 

Did you copy a standard file type to create your file type?  I think you are probably missing proper set-up of external file parameter definition.  here is one that is not standard:

The standard file type for external supplier invoices does not include file direction - I believe it must assume input somehow.
